Rolling on Along....

Life has been pretty sedate within the last month or so. But!! There have been lots of ups and downs. The first amazing thing that happened in January is that we got our Engagement photos delivered by the lovely Beverly Houpt! Some favorites of ours are below :) We took them in Las Cruces at a park and also in Old Mesilla, and may have had too much fun taking them.... if that's possible

If you guys love her photography as much as Spencer and I do, here is some info for her:
Blog: What A Day
Facebook: Photos by Beverly
Email: beverlopolis@yahoo.com

I totally recommend her! Oh! And she will be our photographer at our wedding.

Wedding plans keep getting more and more fleshed out! We've got a reception space, all the flowers figured, the dress, the suit, the wedding colors, the wedding party, the temple appointment, the endowment appointment, our lovely photographer, our party favors, the save the dates planned out, and even some thank you cards! If you like (or even if you don't), I'll let you guys in on them below:

Reception Space: The Desert Greens Golf Course
This is such a pretty place! The picture below is the banquet hall we're going to be using.

Flowers!!!: People's Flowers
We're going for yellow sunflowers (or daisies) which and Spencer's favorite, and white mini carnations which are my favorite.

The Dress: David's Bridal
It's my favorite... now I just have to find shoes and such

The Suit: Now this one I'm utterly clueless about, but I know Spencer has a tux and a really amazing vest and tie I've seen :) It's white and stripey.

The Wedding Colors:
Green and Yellow! It's both Spencer and I's favorite.

The Wedding Party:
Well, its nice and small. It includes the bride and groom, two flower girls (my niece, Sofia Saavedra, and Spencer's niece, Makayla Couzelis), my maid of honor (my best friend, Amanda Innis), and the bestwoman (Spencer's sister, Rachael Leiter)

The Wedding Day: Albuquerque Temple
I am getting Endowed on December 18, and the Sealing and Wedding is on December 20th. But the Reception and Ring Ceremony will be the next day, Saturday, December 21.

The Photographer:
The lovely Beverly Houpt, who's info is at the beginning of the post

The Party Favors:
Well, we're using a pretty little Christmas ornament bulbs in gold and green that we'll be decorating on our own. And we'll probably have nice napkin rings my mom will make.

And that's all I can update about wedding! Other than that, Spencer and I have been Skyping much to keep in touch while we work hard to complete school. I've got the application in for a Masters of Arts in Secondary Education Science for UNM and if I get accepted, I'll be back to Albuquerque at the end of the semester when I graduate. The back up is to stay here in Las Cruces until December and get my teaching license certification. And.... I've been reading lots and lots and lots. :) I don't have school on Fridays this semester and I have been using them to liberally read so much!

Spencer is super excited because we get to see each other on Saturday because I'm headed up to Albuquerque for baptisms at the temple. Spencer has gone to school and work, and slept. He also was integral in the booking of the reception hall. All in all, Spencer is a very tired and horribly overworked human being. And this won't change until August rolls in most likely. But, he's pretty happy, nonetheless.
